The White Horse inn is located in the picturesque village of Winterbourne Bassett just off of the main road (A4361) between Swindon and the ancient stone circle at Avebury.
At the White Horse we offer all of what you would expect from a traditional English pub set in the magnificent scenery of the Marlborough Downs.
 

Wadworth Real Ales

We have Real Ales, lagers and cider from the local Wadworth Brewery in Devizes, our conservatory restaurant which is mentioned in the 'Good Pub Guide' offers an extensive menu to cater for all budgets.
 
For weekday lunches we have a very popular 2 course meal for £6.70 and well as a selection of snacks and main courses. For Sunday lunch we offer a two course sunday roast and dessert for £9.50 as well as an A' La Carte menu.
 
In the evenings we offer an Early Diner menu which is served up to 7.30pm, with prices starting from £5.95. Our full A' la Carte menu is offered throughout the evening and is supplemented with with a selection of House Specialities. All our meals are prepared and cooked to order by our chefs from the best fresh ingredients, sourced locally where possible.

We are known for our Taste of Britain dishes which includes local recipes for around the British Isles but we also offer dishes with flavours from around the world.
 
Kathy, myself and our long standing staff have run the White Horse for the last 17 years over which time we have improved and developed the facilities we have on offer, We have an outside beer garden where you can relax and have a drink and something to eat with your family knowing that they will be safe from any traffic. Both our new wine bar and our conservatory are suitable for parties up to 30 people where we can organise a special menu or you can choose from our party menu.
 
We have Speciality Evenings such as Italian or Curry nights which are very popular, so keep a eye on our web site for future events.
 

We also cater for children, who have their own menu as well as people with any special dietary requirements, just give us a call and we will do our best to accommodate them.
